Governor's Visit

Last week I was able to attend a Small Town Forum at DCCC, along with several local citizens and others from around the Piedmont Triad. The forum was delivered by the North Carolina Rural Center, Golden Leaf and other sponsors. Our Governor, Bev Predue, attended and addressed the audience in a town hall type setting.

The governor answered audience questions, listened to success stories and requests from the citizens in attendance.

I am glad to see from the state level, especially in economic development, that they are starting to focus on small towns. For us to turn this economy around it will start at the local level and we have to work to support and advocate for these locally owned and operated businesses and entrepreneurs.
